Human Rights Group Join Orthodox Rabbis To Persecute Messianic Believers In Arad, Israel

Orthodox Rabbis have been joined by an Israeli human rights group in their continuing persecution of Jewish Messianic believers in the desert town of Arad.  They are seeking permission for members of the extreme orthodox sect to demonstrate at the homes of the believers.

The orthodox sect, B’Tzedeck (In Righteousness) filed a complaint in the Israeli Supreme Court against the Arad Police, asking them to explain their refusal to grant permission for these demonstrations.  The Arad Police then granted this permission.  Previously the Police had granted permission for such demonstrations, as long as they did not exceed 250 people.  B’Tzedeck claimed this restriction was “unreasonable”.
The Israeli Supreme Court ruled in favour of B’Tzedek in January.  The demonstrations are planned to go ahead shortly at the homes of various Messianic believers.
We need to be much in prayer for our brothers & sisters in Israel as such a precedence could lead to such persecution throughout the land.  Orthodox demonstrations all to often have resulted in violence and stone-throwing.  Pray that the Orthodox leaders of the demonstrations will be prevailed upon to, at least, show restraint.  Pray also for the protection of all Jewish believers in Israel.

Asian Messianic Fellowship Starts In Southall

What is believed to be the first Asian Messianic congregation in Europe has been established in Southall, near London.

Rabbi Simon is a Muslim convert and now an expert on Biblical theology. He is ordained by B'nai Yahshua as a Rabbi. He is the only Asian (Pakistani) Muslim Convert Rabbi in the whole world.  He says, “We believe that L-rd is going to open many doors of blessings and His salvation for the people in Southall.”

The Saturday Service are being run in four Languages, that are Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and English. Songs of praises are sung in Hindi, English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hebrew.

Small Assembly Sponsors Free National Celebration Of Tabernacles

The Grimsby Bible Assembly (Messianic) is sponsoring a full, free celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in Winchester.  Philip Clark, part of the assemblies’ leadership team, said “We are offering this TabFest 2007 as a gift to the Body of Messiah in the UK.  It is a large step of faith for us and we will not make any charge for this event.”  He went on to explain that all people had to do was find their own accommodation in the Winchester area.

TabFest 2007 will include a programme of events for every day of the festival, whilst allowing enough free time for people to enjoy a real holiday in this historic and beautiful part of Britain.  All three Sabbaths during the Feast of Tabernacles will be observed with a full programme and buffet lunch provided so that participants do not need to buy and sell on the Sabbath.

Philip stressed that, as there are limited spaces available, anyone intending to attend should register via the TabFest 2007 site.
